Located in the city of Omiya, Shiga Prefecture, Mount Yatamarashino Shrine is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of the mountain and fertility. The shrine was originally built at the foot of Mount Yatamagami in 757 AD during the Nara period. It has undergone several renovations over the centuries and is famous for its beautiful cherry blossom trees, as well as its association with the legendary hero Minamoto no Yoshitsune.
