Izuo Shrine is a Shinto shrine located in Echizen, Shiga Prefecture, dedicated to the gods of fertility and agriculture. The shrine is famous for its beautiful gardens and traditional architecture. According to legend, the shrine was founded in 757 AD by Prince Nagaya, a member of the Imperial family.
