礒崎神社

Goryōji Shrine is located in the city of Kōka, Shiga Prefecture, and is dedicated to the deity Yatagarasu, a symbol of good luck and prosperity. The shrine's main hall was built during the Edo period, with the main torii gate constructed in 1655. Goryōji Shrine is also famous for its beautiful garden, which features a variety of plants and flowers, including cherry blossoms and maple leaves.

文化的背景

Goryōji Shrine is also associated with the legend of Yatagarasu, a mythical bird said to have brought good fortune to the Tokugawa shoguns. During the Obon festival, lanterns are placed along the paths leading up to the shrine to honor the spirits of one's ancestors.

The shrine was established in 1671 by Tokugawa Yoshimune during his visit to the area.
