雄琴神社

Located in the city of Ōtsu, Shiga Prefecture, Yōkin-jinja is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of fishing and the sea, Yōkuninokami. The shrine's architecture reflects its importance as a sacred site for local fishermen. According to legend, Yōkuninokami was a powerful kami who protected the city from invaders. Today, visitors can still see remnants of the ancient shrine's torii gate, which dates back to the 17th century.
