Located in the Okayama Prefecture, Ichinomiya Shrine is one of Japan's oldest and most revered Shinto shrines. The shrine was originally established during the Nara period (710-794 CE) as a sacred site dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu. Over time, it has come to be associated with the deity Inari Okami, patron of fertility, agriculture, and industry.
