八大荒神社

Hyogo

Located in Hyogo Prefecture,八大荒神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of the ocean and fertility, known as Benten-gu. The shrine is famous for its unique architecture and beautiful garden, which features a large pond and several walking paths. According to legend, the shrine was built on the site where Benten-gu once washed up on land after a great storm.
