Ningyo no Okuribi Shrine, also known as Katsurahama Shrine, is a Shinto shrine located in Katsuragi, Shiga Prefecture. It is dedicated to the deity of the sea and fishermen. The shrine's main hall was rebuilt after the Great Kanto Earthquake of 1923. The shrine's torii gate, the largest in Japan, is also known as the Ningyo no Torii, which is said to be the gate of the dragon king's palace. The shrine hosts an annual festival, called Ningyo Matsuri, where a giant wooden fish is displayed and a treasure chest filled with 'fish' made of paper is paraded through the streets.
