Ai Date Shrine, located in the city of Sendai in Miyagi Prefecture, is dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu Omikami and her grandson Susanowo. The shrine's current structure dates back to 1681, but it is believed that a previous shrine existed on this site since the Edo period.
