稲荷神社

Miyagi

Indo-Shinto shrine dedicated to the rice goddess Inari Okami, patron deity of farmers and harvesters. Located in the scenic Hitachi Seaside Park, it is one of Japan's oldest shrines, dating back to 711 CE during the Nara period. The shrine's name 'Ishigahara' actually refers to the nearby Ishigahara Shrine, but has become commonly known as 'Inari', after the enshrined deity.
