市杵島神社

Shiga

City Katsuyama Shrine, dedicated to the god of the sea and fertility, is located on a small island in Lake Biwa, Shiga Prefecture. The shrine was originally built on the mainland but relocated to its current location after an earthquake in 1698. Visitors can enjoy traditional Japanese architecture and beautiful gardens while paying respects to the kami.
