長屋八幡神社

Longoya Hachiman Shrine is a Shinto temple located in the city of Kitanagata, Whitey City, Ishikawa Prefecture. The shrine is dedicated to Hachiman, the Shinto god of war, patron deity of the Imperial Family and a popular kami (deity) throughout Japan. Longoya's unique history dates back to 1580 when the village was founded by farmers who worshipped Hachiman for protection from invading forces. Today, visitors can walk through the historic village, offering prayers and making wishes at shrines along the way.
