文化的背景

Okagayatsu Inari Shrine is renowned for its beautiful vermilion torii gates, which are believed to ward off evil spirits. The shrine is also famous for its 'Sugawara no Michizane's sake ritual', performed during the Obon festival (mid-August), where participants pray for the deceased and receive a blessing from the shrine.

歴史

The shrine was originally built as a worship site for the local deity of rice, Sugawara no Michizane, during the Heian period.
