文化的背景

Fujin and Fūjin are revered as the patron kami of the shrine, with Fujin believed to be a powerful storm god while Fūjin is often depicted as a benevolent air spirit. The shrine also hosts an annual festival in honor of these deities, known as the Kinugasa Matsuri.

歴史

The shrine was established in 711 CE during the Nara period as part of a large complex known as the Kinugasa no Miya. It has since undergone numerous renovations and expansions throughout Japanese history.
