Gunma

Located in the city of Tomioka, Gunma Prefecture, Kanto region's 'Japan's Wonderland' or 'Kanto Wonderland', lies the famous Seian Shrine, known as the 'Kanto Wonderland'. Dedicated to Fujin and Raijin, this Shinto shrine is associated with storms, lightning, and thunder, but also revered for bringing good luck, prosperity, and protection. The shrine's main hall was rebuilt in 1965 after a fire destroyed it in 1958. During the annual Storm God Festival held every year on December 7th, locals worship Fujin and Raijin, hoping to bring an end to the approaching winter season.
