文化的背景

The shrine's architecture reflects traditional Heian-style design, with a large torii gate and a sacred pond. The Eight-Horned Shrine also hosts various festivals throughout the year, such as the Tanabata Festival, which celebrates the meeting of two star-crossed lovers. Additionally, visitors can participate in a ritual to pray for good fortune by tossing coins into one of eight designated 'horn' gates.

歴史

Established during the Nara period (710-794 CE), known as the 'Tomb Shrine of Ōnai', but its current name and location were confirmed in the Edo period (1603-1868 CE).
