Tsushima Island Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the deity of Tsushima Island, located off the coast of Shizuoka Prefecture. Tsushima Island is said to be the birthplace of the famous Japanese general and statesman Minamoto no Yoshitsune. The original shrine was built on the island itself, but it was relocated to the mainland in 1829 after a typhoon destroyed it.
