市杵島神社

Located in Nagasaki Prefecture, City Beach Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the god of the sea, Okarizumi-Okami. The shrine's architecture reflects the Heian period style, with a rectangular main hall and a vermilion torii gate. According to local legend, the shrine was founded by a Buddhist priest who converted to Shintoism after being shipwrecked on the island.
