Miyagi

Located in the heart of Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Raijinsha is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Raijin, the god of thunder. The shrine's architecture is characteristic of the Heian period, with a main hall and a five-story pagoda. According to legend, the shrine was founded by the legendary warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune during the Genpei War. Today, visitors can experience the vibrant atmosphere of the shrine during its annual Spring Equinox Festival, which features traditional dances and offerings to Raijin.
