鹿島神社

Tottori

Located in the prefecture of Tottori, 鹿島神社 is a Shinto shrine dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu and the storm god Susanoo. The shrine is situated on the island of Kunigami, which shares its name with the shrine. The site is said to be connected to the myth of the great flood and is believed to have been built during the Edo period.Visitors can explore the main hall, the five-story pagoda, and the torii gate, as well as participate in traditional festivals such as the Star Festival held on July 7th.
