古宮天満神社

Located in the heart of Kobe, Ōmishima Shrine is dedicated to the sun goddess Amaterasu and the storm god Susanoo no Mikoto. The shrine's current structure dates back to the Edo period, although its origins are believed to be rooted in ancient times. It is said that Amaterasu herself descended from a mortal woman on this very land.
