Shizuoka

Kingōjinsha is a Shinto shrine located in the town of Kakegawa, Shizuoka Prefecture, dedicated to the kami Kingō (also known as Ō-no-Mikoto). The shrine is famous for its beautiful gardens and traditional architecture. According to legend, the shrine was founded during the Heian period by Prince Kiyotsura, who was said to have been a close friend of Emperor Murakami. The shrine has undergone several renovations throughout its history, with the most recent restoration taking place in 2010. Today, Kingōjinsha is an important cultural and historical site in Shizuoka Prefecture.

文化的背景

Kingōjinsha is closely associated with the legend of the 'Fuma no Joe', a samurai who served under Prince Kiyotsura. According to the myth, Fuma no Joe was said to have been so skilled in martial arts that he could defeat any opponent. Today, a statue of Fuma no Joe stands guard at the shrine's entrance.
