八幡宮跡

Aomori

Located in the heart of Aomori City, Eight Horses Temple Ruins is a historic Shinto shrine dedicated to the eight Hachiman-Okami kami, believed to bring prosperity and good luck. Founded during the Heian period (794-1185 CE), this sacred site has been a significant cultural and spiritual hub for locals and visitors alike. The temple was originally built as a palace for the Dōkyō-ji Temple in Aomori City, but it eventually became an independent shrine.
