白幡神社

White Tiger Shrine, located in the town of Horseshoe Bay, Iwate Prefecture, is dedicated to Inari Okami, the Shinto deity of rice, industry, and fertility. The shrine is known for its unique architecture, which features a white-painted torii gate surrounded by vermilion gates. Visitors can participate in the annual White Tiger Festival in September, where they can watch the iconic tiger-shaped lanterns being lit to mark the beginning of autumn. According to local legend, the shrine was built on the site where the goddess Inari appeared to the local villagers.
