天明神社

Ishikawa

Located in the town of Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture, Tenmei Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Tenmei (the 'Heavenly Child') and is said to have been founded by the legendary Japanese immigrant prince, Sakatani no Okinari, who brought with him Buddhist practices from Korea. The shrine's name roughly translates to 'heavenly child shrine' and reflects its connection to the spirit of the 'heavenly child'.
