文化的背景
This shrine is also associated with the legend of the 'Eighteen Arrows', which tells the story of Okuninushi's quest to defeat the eight-headed serpent, Yamata no Orochi. According to myth, Okuninushi was able to defeat the serpent by using his eight arrows to sever its heads, thus bringing peace to the land.

The shrine was originally built during the Nara period (710-794 CE), making it one of the oldest shrines in Hyogo Prefecture.
