Located in the city of Hitachino, Ibaraki Prefecture, Hitachino Shrine is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Kuniyamato no Okami, a kami associated with rice fields and agriculture. The shrine's name, 'Hitachino', refers to its proximity to the former Hitachi Province. In terms of architectural style, the shrine features a traditional Japanese-style temple (torii) entrance, flanked by shrines dedicated to Kuniyamato no Okami and other local deities. Visitors can see a unique torii gate adorned with paper lanterns and cherry blossoms during spring, which is said to be especially beautiful at night.
