Hamahiga is a quiet island east of the Okinawa mainland, connected by two bridges so you can drive back and forth freely. Known as a sacred island in Ryukyu mythology, it retains a calm, spiritual atmosphere with beautiful beaches, starry night skies, and old village scenery. The host recommends a longer stay to fully appreciate the island's charm, with better nightly rates the longer you stay.
