Hotel Grand Cocoe Kurashiki opened in Kurashiki, Okayama, within the "Achi Terrace Kurashiki" redevelopment near Kurashiki Station. With 152 guest rooms, a banquet hall accommodating up to 200 guests, a Japanese restaurant, and a large public bath, the hotel is designed throughout to reflect the character of Kurashiki, using motifs such as denim, charred cedar from old townhouses, and white plaster walls. The front lobby features easy chairs designed by Kenzo Tange, set in a calm garden-like space.
